Construction Laborer
Construction Laborer is responsible for following the direction of Management and following through on assigned daily tasks. Position shall include the safe and efficient operation of equipment and vehicles that the employee has been qualified on. Position will involve all aspects of daily construction activities and routine maintenance as required. Construction Laborer shall be part of a team that is responsible for ensuring a quality product is delivered on time and on budget, with all safety requirements in place at all times.
Responsibilities
The primary role for this position will be working with the construction crew on residential and commercial projects. This position requires familiarity with the push boats that the construction crew utilizes for the mobilization of the crane barges, as well as familiarity with the waterways in our construction territory.
Once familiar with both, the position will require assisting in the mobilization and the on-site maneuvering of the crane barges for construction projects.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
Works outside in conditions of both hot and cold temperatures as well as inside in a shop environment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to access areas with restricted headroom, climb ladders, and lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
Employees are exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels, and potentially hazardous equipment.
Ability to board vessels in rough weather and sea conditions. Long hours, the ability to travel when required, and occasional weekend duties are essential job requirements. Must comply with all company work rules, including those pertaining to safety and health.
Certifications & Qualifications
- Maintain a valid CDL Class B driver’s license (if currently held or obtained).
- Attend all mandatory Health and Safety training.
- Maintain a clean driving record and pass annual Federal DOT background and driving record checks.
- Maintain a valid TWIC Credential.
- Acquire and maintain a valid NH Safe Boaters Certificate.
- Maintain a current DOT Health Card.

Maintain current certifications in:
- Crane Rigging
- Forklift Operations
- OSHA 10
- Safely operate all general construction tools and equipment.
