CONSTRUCTION LABORER:
Construction Laborer is responsible for following the direction of Management and following through on assigned daily tasks. Position shall include the safe and efficient operation of equipment and vehicles which employee has been qualified on. Position will involve all aspects of daily construction activities and routine maintenance as required. Construction Laborer shall be part of a team which is responsible to ensure a quality product is delivered on time and on budget with all safety requirements in place at all times.
The primary role for this position will be working with the construction crew on residential and commercial projects. This position requires familiarity of the push boats that the construction crew utilizes for mobilization of the crane barges be achieved, as well as familiarity of the waterways in our construction territory. Once familiar with both the position will require assisting in the mobilization and the on-site maneuvering of the crane barges for construction projects.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Works outside in conditions of both hot and cold temperatures as well as inside in an shop environment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom, to climb ladders and to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. Exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially hazardous equipment.
Ability to board vessels in rough weather and sea conditions. Long hours, ability to travel when required, occasional weekend duties are essential job requirements. Must comply with all work rules, including those that pertain to safety and health.
CERTIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Maintain a valid CDL–B driver’s license (if currently held or obtained)
- Must attend all mandatory trainings with regards to Health and Safety
- Must maintain a clean driving record and pass Annual Federal DOT Background Check and driving record checks
- Maintain valid TWIC Credential
- Acquire and Maintain valid NH Safe Boaters Certificate
- Maintain Current DOT Health Card
- Maintain current certifications in Crane Rigging; Forklift Operations; OSHA 10
- Safe operation of all general construction tools and equipment
